If you already buy 680–900 GSM PVC for truck curtains, roll tarps or hire sheets, a PE laminated tarpaulin fabric roll is a different material. PVC is a coated polyester-style fabric. PE laminated rolls are a PP woven base with PE film. They do not share the same GSM number, weight or welding method.
We supply PE laminated tarpaulin fabric rolls for converters. You cut, weld or sew the cover in your workshop. We do not supply finished retail tarps.

Why 150 GSM and 680 GSM are not comparable
Both can be sold as “heavy duty tarp” in a search. They are not interchangeable.

When PE laminated rolls make sense in Australia
Choose PE laminated tarpaulin fabric rolls when you:
- Convert many cover sizes from the same roll program.
- Need a lighter cover for equipment, building materials, pallets or short-to-medium outdoor storage.
- Import by the container into Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane and cut locally.
- Weld or sew PE-faced woven fabric, not a PVC curtain system.
- Can work with 2.4 m open width. Wider finished covers are seamed in the workshop.

When to stay on PVC
Keep PVC when the finished product is a tautliner, grain roll tarp, or a specification that already names 680/900 GSM PVC, fire-retardant PVC, or a weld procedure built only for PVC. PE laminated rolls are not a drop-in for that slot.

How to request a comparable quote
Include:
- PE laminated woven roll, unless you specifically need PVC.
- Finished GSM basis and one-side or two-side lamination.
- Open width up to 2.4 m. We do not supply 3.0 m PE rolls or 2.5 / 3.2 m PVC curtain widths.
- Colour, UV target (3–5 years).
- Destination port and that you convert in Australia.
- Sewing or welding method.
